Product Description
The Fully Automatic Gantry Ultrasonic Cleaning Machine is designed for continuous and multi-stage cleaning of industrial components. The system uses ultrasonic cavitation together with automated gantry transfer to provide consistent cleaning performance, precise workpiece positioning, and efficient process control.
The cleaning line can be configured with multiple tanks and transporters according to the required cleaning process, production capacity, workpiece size, and process sequence. Except for manual loading and unloading, the cleaning operations are automatically completed by the gantry transfer system under PLC control.
Ultrasonic Cleaning Principle
The ultrasonic generator converts electrical energy into a high-frequency electrical signal, which is converted into mechanical vibration by the ultrasonic transducer and transmitted into the cleaning solution.
When ultrasonic waves propagate through the cleaning liquid, alternating pressure creates microscopic cavitation bubbles. These bubbles rapidly form, grow, and collapse under the ultrasonic field. Their collapse generates localized micro-jets and pressure waves that help loosen contaminants from the workpiece surface.
The cavitation effect can effectively remove oil, grease, dust, particles, and other contaminants, including residues located in small gaps, cavities, and other difficult-to-reach areas. For oily workpieces, the ultrasonic process can also promote the separation and dispersion of oil and solid particles in the cleaning solution.
This makes ultrasonic cleaning suitable for precision and industrial components that require thorough and consistent surface cleaning.
Automatic Gantry Transfer System
-
Multi-Station Process Configuration
Multiple gantry transporters can be configured according to the required process flow and production capacity. Each transporter performs vertical lifting, horizontal movement, and high-speed travel, with all movements controlled by the PLC system. -
Fully Automatic Operation
The cleaning process is automatically completed by the gantry transfer system, while operators only need to perform the loading and unloading operations. This reduces manual intervention and helps maintain consistent process cycles. -
Three-Speed Movement Control
The gantry transporter uses three-stage speed control for vertical lifting and horizontal movement: low speed, high speed, and low speed. This controlled acceleration and deceleration helps minimize inertia and swinging during movement while improving positioning stability and accuracy. -
PLC Program Control
Operators can select a pre-programmed cleaning process through the control system. After the program is selected, the gantry transporter automatically executes the preset sequence, reducing the need for manual operation during the cleaning cycle. -
Absolute Positioning and Tank Identification
The transporter uses an absolute positioning system for accurate movement between process stations. Each tank is assigned a unique identification code to help prevent positioning errors and ensure that the workpiece follows the programmed process sequence. -
Multiple Safety Protection Systems
Safety guardrails are installed around the operating area to reduce the risk of contact between personnel and moving equipment. Protective devices help prevent the transporter from traveling beyond the designated track. Emergency braking and safety rope systems are also incorporated to provide additional protection during equipment operation.
Basic Operating Process
The operator first loads the workpieces into the designated basket and selects the required cleaning program from the PLC control system.
After the program starts, the gantry transporter automatically moves to the loading station and picks up the basket. According to the programmed sequence, the transporter lifts the basket, moves horizontally to the designated cleaning tank, and lowers the basket into the solution.
The workpiece then undergoes the programmed ultrasonic cleaning and other configured treatment stages. The transporter automatically repeats the same movement sequence for subsequent tanks according to the preset process parameters.
After all cleaning stages are completed, the transporter transfers the basket to the unloading station. Once the unloading position is confirmed by the sensor, the basket is lowered to the designated position for removal by the operator.
The entire cleaning cycle is controlled by the PLC according to the preset program, helping improve process consistency and operational efficiency.
