The Automatic Barrel Zinc-Nickel Alloy Plating Line is designed for high-volume surface treatment of small and medium-sized metal parts, providing a controlled zinc-nickel alloy coating for improved corrosion resistance and surface protection. The barrel plating system integrates pretreatment, zinc-nickel alloy plating, rinsing, post-treatment and drying processes into an automated production line.
The plating line can be configured according to the workpiece size, production capacity, required coating thickness and process requirements. Automatic barrel transfer and programmable process control help maintain consistent processing conditions while reducing manual handling and improving production efficiency. It is suitable for automotive fasteners, stamped parts, precision hardware, hydraulic components and other mass-produced metal parts.

Equipment Features
-
Six Gantry Transporters
To meet different process flow and production capacity requirements, the line is equipped with six fully automatic gantry transporters. Each transporter supports vertical lifting, horizontal movement, and high-speed travel, with all movements controlled by the PLC system. -
Fully Automatic Plating Operation
This is a fully automatic gantry-type barrel plating line. All transfer and plating operations are automatically completed by the gantry transporters, except for manual loading and unloading. -
Stable and Precise Movement
During transporter movement, the warning lamp is activated. Both vertical lifting and horizontal travel feature a three-speed movement profile (low-high-low) for smooth acceleration and deceleration. This minimizes inertia and wobbling during start and stop, while maintaining stable speed and accurate positioning. -
Easy Operation
Operators simply select a pre-programmed process from the PLC control system. The gantry transporters then automatically execute the corresponding plating sequence according to the preset process parameters. -
Precise Positioning & Safety Protection
-
Absolute Positioning: The transporter uses an absolute positioning system, and each tank is assigned a unique identification code to prevent positioning errors and incorrect tank selection.
-
Collision Protection: Guard railings are installed to help prevent the transporter from coming into contact with operators.
-
Rail Protection: Protective blocks and control devices help prevent the transporter from running off the rails.
-
Emergency Protection: Safety ropes connected to the emergency braking system are installed along both sides of the plating line for additional protection during operation.
-
Basic Operation
The operator first opens the barrel lid, loads the workpieces into the barrel, closes the lid manually, and selects the corresponding preset program.
After receiving the operation command, the gantry transporter automatically moves to the loading station according to the programmed sequence. It lifts the loaded barrel, transfers it to the first process tank, and lowers it into the tank. The transporter then continues to move the barrel through each subsequent process according to the preset plating program.
After the plating process is completed, the transporter transfers the barrel to the unloading station. Once the unloading position is confirmed by the sensor, the barrel is lowered onto the unloading station. The operator manually opens the barrel and transfers the processed workpieces into the passivation basket. A dedicated manipulator then transfers the basket through the passivation process.
After passivation, the unloading station automatically tilts and transfers the finished workpieces into the unloading basket, completing the entire production cycle.
Equipment Characteristics
The equipment features a clean appearance, compact structure, reliable performance, smooth operation, and high positioning accuracy, making it suitable for automated barrel plating production.
