Automatic Continuous Electroplating Equipment
This automatic continuous electroplating equipment is designed for continuous surface finishing of reel-fed metal products and other suitable conductive materials. The system integrates material feeding, pretreatment, electroplating, rinsing, post-treatment, drying and material collection into a continuous production process.
The equipment is engineered for applications that require stable process control and repeatable coating quality. Process tanks, chemical circulation, rinsing stages, rectifiers, filtration, cooling, heating and exhaust treatment can be configured according to the selected plating process.
Greatwell provides customized equipment design, fabrication, electrical control integration, installation guidance and after-sales technical support for continuous electroplating projects.
Continuous Electroplating Process
A typical continuous plating sequence can be configured as:
Material Feeding → Pretreatment → Cleaning → Electroplating → Rinsing → Post-Treatment → Drying → Material Collection
The material is continuously fed through the processing sections at a controlled speed. During electroplating, the workpiece passes through the selected plating solution while the rectifier provides the required electrical current.
Multiple rinsing stages can be arranged between process tanks to reduce solution carryover. Depending on the process, heating, filtration, cooling, air agitation and chemical circulation systems can also be integrated into the line.
The final process sequence and equipment configuration are determined according to the substrate material, plating chemistry, coating specification and required production conditions.
Applications
The continuous electroplating system can be configured for suitable conductive metal products and reel-fed materials, including:
Metal strips
Copper alloy components
Electronic terminals
Connector components
Precision metal parts
Other continuous or reel-fed metal products
The final equipment configuration depends on the substrate, plating chemistry, coating specification, product dimensions and required production conditions.

Tank Design & Manufacturing
The plating tanks are engineered according to the chemical environment and process requirements of the continuous plating line.
Tank material: PP and 304 stainless steel configurations are available according to the process.
PP construction: Selected tanks can use Röchling PP sheets with reinforced structures for chemical resistance and mechanical stability.
Tank reinforcement: Heating tanks can be reinforced with square steel tube structures where additional mechanical strength is required.
Tank covers: Transparent tempered glass or PP covers can be configured according to the process section.
Drainage design: Chemical outlets and drainage points are arranged at the tank bottom to facilitate solution discharge and tank cleaning.
Rinsing system: Multi-stage rinsing can use counter-flow water movement to improve rinsing efficiency and reduce water consumption.
Welding quality: PP tank welding is controlled for structural strength, smoothness and sealing performance.
Automatic Control System
The continuous electroplating line uses a PLC-based control system with computer monitoring and DMS functions for coordinated operation of the production process.
The control system can manage equipment sequences and monitor key operating conditions throughout the line. Automatic material handling, process timing and auxiliary equipment operation can be integrated into the control architecture according to the project requirements.
The system can also be configured with safety interlocks and emergency-stop functions to support safe operation and controlled shutdown.

Quality Control
Each continuous electroplating system is inspected during fabrication, assembly and pre-shipment testing.
PP tank welding and structural inspection
Tank drainage and piping inspection
Electrical cabinet and PLC wiring inspection
Rectifier and power supply testing
Pump and filtration system inspection
Heating and cooling system testing
