,Gantry Type Cu-Ni-Cr Plating Line
This automatic gantry plating line is designed for continuous copper, nickel and chrome plating processes on metal components. The system integrates pretreatment, electroplating, rinsing, transfer and finishing processes into an automated production line.
The gantry transfer system moves workpieces between process tanks according to the programmed sequence, helping maintain consistent processing time and reduce manual handling. The line can be configured with rectifiers, heating or cooling systems, filtration, exhaust treatment and PLC-based control according to the workpiece material, dimensions, plating thickness and required surface finish.
The Cu-Ni-Cr process can be configured for applications requiring corrosion resistance, wear resistance and decorative chrome surfaces. Tank dimensions, transfer capacity, process stages and automation level can be customized according to the customer's production requirements.
The operator first moves the trolley carrying the flight bar, jigs and workpieces to the loading station. The product code can then be entered by barcode scanner, IC card or computer interface.
After the operator selects "Load Ready," the IPC retrieves the corresponding plating recipe from the stored process database and sends the operating commands to the PLC. The gantry transporter automatically moves to the loading position, lifts the flight bar from the trolley and begins the programmed plating cycle.
According to the selected process recipe, the transporter sequentially moves the workpieces through the required treatment tanks. Parameters such as process sequence, processing time and operating conditions are controlled according to the preset program.
After completion, the flight bar is returned to the trolley at the unloading station. An audible notification alerts the operator to prepare for unloading. The operator then moves the trolley away from the line for manual unloading and selects "Unload Ready" to prepare the system for the next production cycle.
Throughout the plating process, key operating data—including bath temperature, processing time, electrical current and other process parameters—can be transmitted to and stored in the IPC. The recorded data can be reviewed, archived and printed for process traceability, production management and quality control.
The Cu-Ni-Cr plating line can be engineered according to the customer's workpiece and production requirements.
